Biography
Isobel is a Solicitor in the award-winning Employment team at Myerson.
Isobel earned a First-Class degree in the Mlaw Exempting Degree with a combined LPC from Northumbria University in Newcastle, graduating in 2019.
She joined Myerson as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2022 and qualified as a Solicitor in September 2024.
Before joining Myerson, Isobel gained valuable experience as a Litigation Executive, where she advised businesses on Employment Tribunal claims and supported clients through complex workplace disputes.
Her strong academic background, combined with hands-on experience in employment law, enables her to offer strategic and practical solutions to both employees and employers.
With a client-focused approach, Isobel is committed to protecting workplace rights and helping businesses navigate employment law obligations with confidence.
Her expertise include:
- Defending and representing clients in Employment Tribunal claims, including disputes over wages, unfair and wrongful dismissal, discrimination, and whistleblowing.
- Negotiating settlement agreements to secure favourable terms for employees.
- Assisting in reorganisations of companies including collective consultation requirements;
- Providing tailored advice on disciplinary, grievance, and appeal procedures.
- Advising on sickness absence management and performance management strategies.
- Drafting bespoke employment contracts and workplace policies for businesses.
- Advising businesses on employee exits and drafting settlement agreements to facilitate smooth transitions.
