Recent Experience
- Successfully negotiated an advantageous exit package for a senior managing director employed by a £31 billion pound private equity company in the financial sector including bonus payments and shares.
- Advised a senior managing director of a well-known UK food manufacturing company in relation to the enforceability and strategic management of post-termination restrictive covenants, following the launch of a competing venture. Provided tactical advice on risk assessment, covenant scope, and negotiation strategy to protect the client’s commercial position while mitigating litigation exposure.
- Defended an international logistics company in Employment Tribunal proceedings involving allegations of sex and sexual orientation discrimination. Developed and executed a robust defence strategy which resulted in the Claimant fully withdrawing her claims prior to hearing, securing significant cost savings and avoiding reputational risk for the business.
- Advised in a complex shareholder dispute within a recruitment company involving allegations of sexual harassment between an operations director and a fellow shareholder. Provided strategic guidance on managing the parallel employment and reputational risks, including advice on the investigatory process, board-level decision-making, and dispute resolution strategy to safeguard the company’s stability.
- Advising a company specialising in the creation of social media campaigns and advertising for third‑party brands on a full redundancy exercise from inception to completion. This involved drafting all relevant employee documentation and correspondence, providing strategic advice on collective consultation obligations, selection pools and objective selection criteria. I also supported the business with settlement agreements and managed correspondence and negotiations with employees’ solicitors, enabling the business to progress the redundancy exercise efficiently and with minimal disruption.
