Biography

Simon is a Senior Associate in the Corporate department at Myerson and specialises in advising on a broad range of corporate transactions, including share acquisitions and disposals, company reorganisations, and incorporations.

He has developed particular expertise in Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs) and is regarded as a subject matter expert in this area.

Simon has advised numerous clients operating in a broad range of sectors on their transition to employee ownership, this includes a number of businesses operating in the professional services sector, construction and engineering. 

Simon also specialises in helping professional services firms with succession planning and heads up our professional services sector team. In recent months Simon has led on advising the equity partners of law firm Birkett Long LLP on the sale of their equitable interests to Knights Group and advised Lupton Fawcett LLP in relation to the sale of the business and assets of the firm to Flint Bishop Limited.

Simon joined Myerson in December 2021, having previously worked for North West law firm Bermans following completion of his training at Laytons. He began his legal career as a paralegal at Addleshaw Goddard in the transaction services team.

He holds an upper second-class degree from the University of Liverpool and completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in Manchester.
