Biography

Ryan Fletcher is a Senior Associate in the Corporate Team at Myerson. He joined the firm in 2018 and is an 8‑year PQE solicitor.

Ryan has particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and demergers, with a strong focus on complex, multi‑party and strategically significant transactions.

Ryan is deputy head of the Private Wealth Sector team and his experience also encompasses private wealth arrangements from a corporate perspective, including family investment companies and growth share schemes.

Ryan is Head of the Myerson Banking Sector Team and acts predominantly for borrowers, with a particular focus on transactions that sit alongside or support corporate activity. He regularly advises on funding arrangements linked to acquisitions, corporate growth, reorganisations and refinancing, as well as real estate funding, development financing and bespoke private lending structures.

Ryan acts for clients across a broad range of sectors, including manufacturing and industry, technology, software, professional services and healthcare, and has led a number of high‑value and complex acquisitions, disposals and reorganisations involving owner‑managed businesses and large corporate groups in these sectors.

Sale of Scott Rees & Co Solicitors to Fletchers Group

Ryan advised on the successful sale of Scott Rees & Co Solicitors, a well-established personal injury practice with 97 fee earners, to Fletchers Group. Acting as part of Myerson’s Corporate team, he supported the transaction from inception to completion, helping to navigate the legal and strategic complexities of the deal as part of wider consolidation within the personal injury sector. The matter highlights Ryan’s experience advising law firms and professional practices on mergers, acquisitions and succession planning.

Strategic Sale of 40% Stake in EFCIS to National Credit Insurance (Australia)

Ryan led the advice to the shareholders of EFCIS on the strategic sale of a 40% stake to National Credit Insurance (Brokers) Pty Ltd (NCI), a leading Australian trade credit insurance specialist. The cross-border investment supported EFCIS’s international growth strategy while allowing existing leadership to retain control. The transaction demonstrates Ryan’s expertise in shareholder exits, strategic investments and financial services sector deals.

Steuler Group Acquisition of Ancorite Surface Protection

Ryan advised the Steuler Group, a German-headquartered global leader in industrial linings and corrosion protection, on its acquisition of a 75% stake in Cheshire-based Ancorite Surface Protection. The cross-border transaction strengthened Steuler’s presence in the UK and Irish markets and expanded its access to new sectors and services, showcasing Ryan’s experience in international M&A and strategic expansion.

Acquisition of NoBlue Limited by FPE Capital

Ryan advised the shareholders of NoBlue Limited, a NetSuite software solutions provider with operations in the UK, US and Spain, on its acquisition by FPE Capital LLP. The private equity-backed transaction, which also included the acquisition of Elevate2, created the combined NoBlue2 Group and positioned the business for further international growth. Ryan led the Corporate team and coordinated multi-disciplinary input across employment and commercial matters.

£75m Refinancing for Adlington Retirement Living

Ryan acted as lead solicitor to Adlington Retirement Living on a full refinancing following the securing of a £75 million development facility from NatWest Group and Homes England. The funding will support the development of 700 new retirement homes across England. The transaction highlights Ryan’s experience in complex refinancing and development-led growth projects.

Sale of Clever Closet Limited to Sharps Bedrooms

Ryan led the Corporate team in advising on the sale of Clever Closet Limited, an award-winning storage solutions provider, to Sharps Bedrooms. Working alongside commercial and employment specialists, he supported the transaction through to completion, securing a successful outcome for the founder and facilitating the company’s next stage of growth within a larger national group.
