Myerson Solicitors is pleased to announce six promotions to Partner as part of a record year of career progression, with 13 promotions across the business in 2026.
These appointments follow the recent announcement that Richard Lloyd has succeeded Carl Newton as Chief Executive, marking a new chapter for the firm as it continues its ambitious growth strategy.
The six new Partners reflect the strength and depth of talent across the firm, with promotions spanning Corporate, Commercial Litigation, Residential Property, Marketing and Business Development.
Within Commercial Litigation, David Jones and Robert Brothers have been promoted to Partner. Both advise on complex, high-value commercial matters, with David specialising in professional negligence and construction disputes, while Robert has expertise in commercial agency and intellectual property litigation. Their appointments further strengthen one of the largest specialist Dispute Resolution teams in the North West.
Ryan Fletcher has been promoted to Corporate Partner. Ryan specialises in mergers and acquisitions, including international and cross-border transactions, as well as corporate restructurings and demergers. He also has expertise in private wealth arrangements, including family investment companies and growth share schemes, and advises on banking transactions, particularly funding arrangements supporting acquisitions and reorganisations.
In Residential Property, Carly Traverse has been promoted to Partner following a busy year for the department. Carly advises first-time buyers, high-net-worth individuals and property investors on acquisitions, refinancing, portfolio transactions, property incorporations and title restructures. The team combines high-quality conveyancing with exceptional levels of client service and is one of only a small number of UK law firms able to act on high value residential property purchases up to £30 million.
Outside of legal roles, the importance of Myerson’s Business Services teams is also recognised through the promotions of Ashley Reynolds, Head of Marketing, and Chris Wilson, Corporate lawyer and Head of Business Development, to Partner. Ashley leads a team of seven marketing specialists supporting departments and sectors across the firm and has played a key role in strengthening the Myerson brand and driving demand for its legal services. Chris leads Myerson Connections, a legal referral and knowledge-sharing network trusted by hundreds of lawyers nationwide, and also heads Legal+, Myerson’s growing network for accountants.
At entry level, Myerson is also welcoming new trainees and its fifth cohort of Legal Apprentices this month, continuing its investment in developing the next generation of lawyers.
As Manchester’s first 100% employee-owned law firm, Myerson now employs more than 165 people. These promotions reflect the firm’s commitment to developing talent and creating opportunities from within, while strengthening its teams to support its ambitious growth plans as a leading independent regional law firm serving businesses and individuals across the North West and beyond.
Richard Lloyd, Chief Executive of Myerson, commented: “I would like to congratulate Ashley, Carly, Chris, David, Robert and Ryan on their well-deserved promotions to Partner. Their individual achievements, expertise and dedication reflect the strength of our culture and our commitment to developing talent from within.
“It is particularly pleasing to have seen 13 colleagues progress across the firm this year, demonstrating the opportunities available to our people at every level. As we look ahead, we remain focused on our continued organic growth, investing in our unique culture and delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients.”
