Biography

David Jones is a Senior Associate in Myerson’s Dispute Resolution department and a recognised specialist in professional negligence. A member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association, David is known for his confident handling of complex, high‑value disputes and his strong procedural expertise developed through extensive litigation experience.

David joined Myerson in September 2023 from Stephensons and progressed rapidly to Senior Associate within 12 months, reflecting both his technical ability and the impact he has made since joining the firm. He regularly has conduct of multi‑million‑pound claims, often involving multiple parties, leading law firms, and intricate issues of liability and quantum. His strategic oversight and management skills ensure effective coordination across teams, including matters involving several fee earners and external Leading and Junior Counsel.

David’s practice spans a broad range of commercial disputes, with particular focus on professional negligence, partnership and shareholder disputes, and contractual claims. He has significant experience in insurance‑funded litigation and originally trained at a Warrington firm under the supervision of a Deputy District Judge, giving him a strong grounding in litigation strategy and court procedure.

A particular hallmark of David’s practice is his niche expertise in vesting orders against the Crown. He has successfully recovered significant assets through vesting order applications and has quickly established himself as a go‑to adviser in this highly specialised area, combining technical mastery with innovative problem‑solving and close collaboration with counsel.

Alongside his legal practice, David is a ‘Tech Super User’ and one of the firm’s lead fee earners on AI adoption, driving efficiency and innovation across departments.

David is highly regarded by clients for his pragmatic advice, sound judgment, and clear communication.

Client Feedback

Personal Testimonial

E Cain

From the start of the process, David made everything as easy as possible, which was important during an incredibly stressful time! Despite it being a very individual case, relating to very technical built environment factors, David was able to deal with matters very efficiently. He was always contactable, did things in a realistic timescale and was always understanding of the situation. I consider the outcome to be as good as it could have been without resorting to court action.
