Biography
Jack Diggines is an Associate in the Commercial Litigation team at Myerson, with 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
He advises businesses, founders and directors on complex commercial disputes, with a particular interest in technology litigation. His work includes disputes arising from software development and implementation projects, SaaS and cloud arrangements, IT outsourcing and systems integration.
Jack has experience acting in High Court proceedings and provides strategic advice across the full litigation lifecycle—from early case assessment and pre-action correspondence to advising on pleadings, interim applications and trial preparation. He is adept at managing urgent and procedural issues, including injunctions and other interim remedies, and regularly supports clients through mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Alongside technology disputes, Jack acts on wider contentious matters including contractual and commercial claims, shareholder and director disputes and professional negligence. He is valued for clear, practical advice, disciplined case management and robust drafting.
Clients appreciate Jack’s ability to distil complex facts and technical issues into straightforward, commercially focused advice, identifying the key evidential and tactical points and pursuing proportionate strategies aligned with business objectives.
Recent Experience
- Representing an individual and his limited company against a commodity and energy trading company in a multimillion-pound High Court claim concerning an alleged entitlement to shares and commission;
- Representing a software developer in a dispute with a former employer concerning alleged misuse of confidential information and breach of restrictive covenants;
- Representing a company engaged in digital IP enforcement in a multimillion-pound shareholder dispute, where a favourable buy out was achieved.
- Representing an individual in a shareholder dispute pertaining to the holding company for a Michelin Star restaurant in Kent, where a favourable buy-out was achieved.
