Olivia O’Neil qualified into the team as a Solicitor in September 2024, following completion of her training contract with Myerson.
She has developed experience across a wide range of contentious matters, including high-value and complex breach of contract claims, shareholder and director disputes, trademark infringement and copyright disputes, professional negligence claims, commercial agency disputes and debt recovery matters. Olivia has experience across the County Court, High Court, Intellectual Property Enterprise Court, and Court of Appeal.
Alongside her contentious practice, Olivia has played an instrumental role in the firm’s marketing and business development initiatives, particularly within the Intellectual Property sector. She has helped to strengthen the firm’s visibility, grow its professional network, and generate high‑value, fee‑earning opportunities. Olivia regularly publishes commentary on current IP developments and emerging case law and represents the firm at professional events to develop industry connections.

Olivia has developed significant court experience, including attending a strike‑out and reverse summary judgment application hearing in a £5 million conspiracy to breach a transfer claim involving an overage provision, which also progressed to an application before the Court of Appeal.
She has also assisted on a high‑value and complex breach of contract dispute valued at approximately £1 million. This work involved managing a substantial disclosure exercise, preparing an application for specific disclosure and defending an application for security for costs.
In addition, Olivia has supervised a substantial trademark infringement claim through to trial, with the matter settling shortly beforehand and securing a successful outcome for the client.
