Myerson is delighted to announce a new round of promotions and the arrival of our latest cohort of trainees and apprentices, reinforcing our reputation as one of the most attractive employers in the North West.
Reflecting the firm’s continued growth from our single-site office in Altrincham, two senior lawyers have been promoted to Partner: Eleanor Clarke in our Contentious Probate team and Richard Meehan in our Commercial team.
Eleanor, who joined Myerson in 2018, specialises in high-value and complex probate disputes, including will challenges and Inheritance Act claims. This year, she earned recognition in the prestigious Chambers High Net Worth Guide for the first time.
Richard, who joined the firm in 2022, advises on a broad range of commercial contracts and heads Myerson’s Technology sector. He advises on supply and distribution agreements, licensing, and IT services for clients from SaaS providers to national retailers.
Another senior appointment is Sarah Whitelegge, who has been promoted to Legal Director in the Family team. Sarah advises on children matters, financial settlements and domestic violence cases, and is a Resolution Accredited Specialist and trained Collaborative Lawyer.
Beyond these senior promotions, Myerson is continuing to invest in nurturing home-grown talent. Four team members have stepped up to Senior Associate or Senior Executive roles, with a further ten promoted to Associate positions.
At the entry level, we are welcoming our fourth cohort of legal apprentices, bringing the total to eight, and four new trainees, following a 75% retention rate of our qualifying trainees this year.
James Birch, Talent Acquisition Manager, said: “The move to employee ownership has made Myerson an even more attractive place to work. This year, we achieved a 95% offer acceptance rate and received a record number of high-quality applications for both the trainee and apprenticeship programmes. It’s a real testament to our reputation for offering challenging, high-calibre work within a supportive and collaborative environment.”
As a 100% employee-owned firm, Myerson now employs 160 people across a range of departments, reflecting our ongoing organic growth as we serve both businesses and individuals across the region and beyond.
