Planning a move? Learn how restrictive covenants work, common pitfalls, and how to respond if your former employer takes action.

Moving to a competitor, setting up on your own or taking clients with you can raise difficult questions about restrictive covenants and post-termination obligations.

In this webinar, our Commercial Litigation specialists will explore the practical realities of restrictive covenant disputes from the perspective of senior employees, directors and partners who may find themselves facing allegations of breach.

Why attend?

  • What restrictive covenants are and when they are enforceable.
  • Common mistakes made before and after resignation.
  • The risks associated with contacting clients, colleagues and business connections.
  • What happens when an employer alleges a breach.
  • The role of undertakings and injunctions.
  • Practical lessons from a recent restrictive covenant dispute.

We act for both businesses seeking to enforce restrictions and individuals defending claims, giving us insight into how these disputes are approached from both sides.
