A Taste of Altrincham is underway, bringing ten days of food, drink and creativity to the town centre, and Myerson Solicitors is proud to be supporting the festival once again as headline sponsor.
Organised by Altrincham BID, the team behind Visit Altrincham, the festival runs from Friday 27th February to Sunday 8th March and celebrates Altrincham’s vibrant independent food and drink community through a packed programme of events, workshops, tastings and experiences hosted by venues across the town.
A Festival In Full Swing
This year’s A Taste of Altrincham is bigger and more ambitious than ever, with an expanded programme designed to appeal to food lovers of all ages. From exclusive dining events and chef demonstrations to hands-on workshops, tastings and family-friendly activities, the festival showcases the creativity, skill and passion behind Altrincham’s thriving hospitality scene, offering something for every palate.
A key highlight this year is the launch of the Visit Altrincham app, which is hosting exclusive festival offers and promotions throughout the ten days. The app makes it easier for residents and visitors to discover what’s happening, support local businesses and enjoy special offers while exploring the town.
Celebrating Local Bakers
A much-loved part of the festival programme is Altrincham’s Ultimate Pudding Competition, which invites amateur bakers of all ages to showcase their skills and creativity. Now in its second year, the competition celebrates the town’s love of food and brings the community together in a fun and inclusive way.
Myerson CEO Carl Newton has returned as a judge for the competition, joining an expert panel that includes award-winning baker Matt Townley of Altrincham’s MOST Bakery; Lisa Warnes, Director of Cheshire Cookery School; and Maisam Algirgeet, content creator, cookbook author and former contestant on The Great British Bake Off. Together, the panel will help crown Altrincham’s best dessert.
Supporting A Thriving Local Food Community
Myerson’s continued support reflects its long-standing connection to Altrincham and commitment to initiatives that strengthen the local economy. As an employee-owned firm rooted in the town since 1982, Myerson’s ESG approach focuses on backing projects that champion independent businesses, encourage collaboration and create meaningful community impact.
Festivals like A Taste of Altrincham play an important role in driving footfall, supporting local enterprise and reinforcing Altrincham’s reputation as one of Greater Manchester’s leading food destinations.
Carl Newton said: “What makes A Taste of Altrincham special is the sense of community behind it. The festival brings together brilliant independent businesses, local talent and visitors in a way that really showcases the town at its best. We’re delighted to be supporting it again and to see it return bigger and better for 2026.”
More Than Sponsorship
Myerson’s involvement goes beyond sponsorship alone. The firm is an active supporter of Altrincham’s food and drink scene and a regular customer of many of the venues taking part. During the festival, Myerson is also hosting a series of client events at participating venues, giving clients the opportunity to experience the town’s hospitality offering first-hand.
Myerson is also pleased to be working once again with Altrincham BID on the A Taste of Altrincham Cookbook, celebrating the independent venues and talented people behind the town’s food scene.
