Last week, we were delighted to welcome more than 300 clients, business contacts and referrers from across Manchester and beyond to the annual Myerson's BBQ.
A longstanding fixture in the local business calendar, the event once again brought together professionals from a wide range of sectors for an evening of food, drinks and catching up with familiar faces.
A World Cup-Themed Evening
The British summer stayed true to form, with rain forcing much of the event indoors. Fortunately, any concerns about the weather quickly disappeared as guests settled in for an enjoyable evening of conversation, hospitality and entertainment.
With this year's BBQ taking place as the FIFA World Cup got underway, the event adopted a football theme, with guests gathering to watch the tournament's opening match between Mexico and South Africa.
Foosball Tournament Proves a Hit
One of the standout attractions of the evening was a Foosball Tournament run by the British Foosball Association (BFA), the UK national governing body for the sport of table football.
The competition attracted more than 30 players and quickly became one of the highlights of the night, drawing both competitors and spectators alike. Following a series of closely contested matches, Alex Pugh from The Trademark Helpline was crowned champion.
Bringing People Together
Alongside a fantastic BBQ menu from FRANCS Event Catering, guests enjoyed a selection of world cocktails while reconnecting with existing contacts, making new introductions and exchanging ideas with fellow professionals.
We were also pleased to welcome Deputy Mayor of Trafford, Councillor Joanne Harding, and Councillor Jane Brophy to the celebrations.
Supporting Wood Street Mission
Our Fundraising Committee was on hand throughout the evening with the Myerson "Spin to Win" wheel, raising money for Wood Street Mission - a charity helping children and families living on a low income in Manchester and Salford.
Thanks to the generosity of our prize donors, including Altrincham FC, Altrincham Garrick Playhouse, The Brit Fest, and LOOKFANTASTIC, we raised more than £850 for this fantastic charity.
Until Next Year
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such an enjoyable occasion. Despite the rain, it was wonderful to see so many people come together and make the most of the event.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back for next year's BBQ.
