We are delighted to announce that Myerson has been shortlisted in two prestigious categories at the upcoming British Wills and Probate Awards 2025:

  • Contentious Wills and Probate Team of the Year (Large)
  • Best Place to Work

This double nomination reflects both the strength of our award-winning legal expertise and the unique, people-first culture that defines life at Myerson.

Recognised for Legal Excellence

Our shortlisting for Contentious Wills and Probate Team of the Year (Large) is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our lawyers. As the largest contentious probate team in the North West, we support clients nationwide with some of life’s most complex and emotionally sensitive disputes.

Recognised as a Top Tier practice by both The Legal 500 and Chambers HNW, the team led by Partner Helen Thompson has achieved outstanding results over the past year, continuing to grow and succeed in this challenging area of law. This nomination highlights not only the calibre of our casework, but also our willingness to take matters to trial when it is in our clients’ best interests.

A Great Place to Work

Our Best Place to Work shortlisting is particularly meaningful. As Manchester’s first 100% employee-owned law firm, we have embedded a culture that prioritises wellbeing, inclusivity, and opportunities for every colleague to thrive both personally and professionally.

We firmly believe that by investing in our people, we empower them to deliver the very best service to our clients.

“We are extremely proud to be shortlisted in two categories at this year’s British Wills and Probate Awards. Recognition as both a leading contentious probate team and a great place to work is a testament to the dedication of our people, the outstanding results achieved for our clients, and the positive culture we have worked hard to build. We look forward to celebrating with peers across the sector at the awards in October.” Helen Thompson, Partner and Head of Contentious Trusts and Probate.
