The latest Market Review from Move with Us tells homeowners to put their property on the market by September, at the latest, for a chance of moving by Christmas.
The latest average selling times released by Move with Us suggest a home takes on average 88 days to sell.
Those living in Cheshire have been recommended to put their homes on the market as early as 2nd September, closely followed by homeowners in Wales, where it takes on average 129 days for a house to sell – meaning properties needed to have been on the market by 18th August in order to sell by Christmas.
However, if you are living in London you will have longer to prepare for your move, with selling times at just 43 days – meaning home owners need not sell up until the 12th of November.
Robin King, Director at Move with Us has said that those wanting to sell their homes by the end of the year must “start getting prepared to sell now, particularly in the slower paced markets”
Getting your home on the market by September will give home movers a much better chance of selling before Christmas arrives.
