Myerson have always been keen as a business to play our part in supporting both our local and the wider community. During the summer of 2015 we brought together the various bodies within the firm that have been working on community projects. Everybody at the firm was invited to select a charity for the firm to support and we chose two local charities, St Ann’s Hospice and The Trafford Deaf Children’s Society. By donating to just two charities each year, we are able to raise a substantial amount and really make a difference. This has become evident as we have raised over £3,000 in just 6 months through a mixture of activities that have included sponsored running, baking days, and dress down days. St Ann’s Hospice & Trafford Deaf Children’s Society have both received £1,500 from Myerson which is an achievement we are all extremely proud of.
Andrew Chapman, the partner responsible for Corporate Social Responsibility at Myerson said, “Apart from the very worthwhile aim of supporting the two charities our fundraising has been a great deal of fun and has brought together many people throughout the office.”
Apart from fundraising we have been doing other activities like carving pumpkins for the Trafford Deaf Children’s Society Halloween party, helping the children on a horse riding day and also collecting winter clothing for the Barnabus homeless charity. We are continually looked for new, fun ways to raise money for our chosen charities and all the staff at Myerson are excited to take part in the events we organise in the New Year.
