The team
Our Corporate team provide the highest level of strategic advice to a large portfolio of commercial organisations. The team has grown in size over recent years and continues to go from strength to strength, winning Corporate (and Commercial) Team of the Year at the Manchester Legal Awards in 2021. It has recently retained its status as Tier 1 Legal 500 practice and has been described as offering an “expert, personal, professional, transparent service”.
The role
The role will involve providing the highest quality advice to a diverse client base on a range of corporate and company issues.
Typical matters will include:
- mergers, acquisitions and disposals
- due diligence and disclosure
- investment agreements
- shareholder agreements (and articles of association)
- succession planning
- LLP/Partnership arrangements
- share restructuring/group re-organisation
- share options (including EMIs)
- company formation and administration
- non-contentious insolvency work
- banking (loans, security and deeds of priority)
Who we are looking for
The position would suit those with excellent academic background and training who are looking to further develop their career. Candidates are required to have good communication skills, strong organisational skills and an eye for detail.
The successful candidate will have strong corporate experience operating at Associate/Senior Associate level and be well versed in dealing with a full range of corporate and company issues. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience dealing with an SME/OMB client base.
Candidates must have a pragmatic and solution-focused approach to their work and good client management and matter management skills. The ability to work well with experienced professionals within a team-orientated environment is essential.
