Carl Newton, CEO of Myerson Solicitors, has been elected as the new vice-chair of the UK200Group.

The UK200Group is the UK’s leading association of independent chartered accountants and law firms with connections across the UK. As a member of this prestigious professional group, we are able to work with trusted, like-minded contacts able to support our clients with legal and financial advice in different jurisdictions.

On appointment to the position of vice-chair, Carl said: "I am extremely proud and honoured to be appointed as the vice-chairman of the UK200Group. This fantastic group brings together some of the leading independent legal and accountancy firms from across the United Kingdom who support one another and share expertise to truly champion their people, giving them all necessary tools to deliver a premium service to their clients and operate successful and flourishing professional services businesses.

All businesses have faced significant challenges this last year, and in response, the UK200Group quickly pivoted to take steps to invest and support its members, offering regular member virtual drop-in sessions, helpful webinars, training, and providing client support packages to enable them to provide the best possible service to meet their clients' ever-changing needs. Last year the creation and successful launch of the online UK200Group Knowledge Hub was a particular success, and I look forward to helping the UK200Group Knowledge Hub gain even more traction this year. The Hub allows member firms to share their success stories, recommend experts and train and share knowledge across the country. This year, I will help the UK200Group build on this successful collaboration between group member firms, so firms can further commercialise their UK200Group membership. It is through the beneficial connections that the UK200Group gives us that we are all able to provide our clients with high-quality services and help one another meet business challenges head-on to give us as members a dynamic competitive edge."
