Work Experience & Careers Assistance
We are happy to assist students in the local area who are interested in a potential career in law, including a career in the administrative and support functions of a law firm.
We offer work experience placements to students in our local area who are at University level or above. We find, from experience, that work placements tend to benefit students most when they are at this level of their education and when they already have some legal training.
If this is applicable to you and if you wish to apply for a work experience placement, please send your CV and a covering letter to firstname.lastname@example.org, addressed to Jordanna Reynolds.
Careers Assistance to Local Schools
For students at school or college level we are now offering presentations on careers in the legal sector to local schools. Our presentations are aimed at Year 11, 12 and 13 (Fifth and Sixth form) students who may be interested in a career in law. It provides information about a career in the legal sector, the various routes into law and provides details of the other roles that help keep a law firm running. We hope to be able to provide students with information which will assist them in making decisions about their future career and the right route for them. Our presentation teams are always willing to answer questions from students and talk to them about their own experiences whilst studying and working in a law firm.
We have also been asked to attend a number of career evenings at local schools in the New Year, which we are happy to assist in.
As part of our commitment to assisting local school students we have recently taken part in careers evenings for Altrincham girls grammar school and Loreto grammar school. The evenings were a success. Many students at both schools are considering choosing law as a career and it was great to be able to offer advice and tips to help them with their decision. At each event we had one of our current trainees in attendance who were able to speak to the students about their own experience of training to be a lawyer.
We were happy to be able to provide students with information on the various routes into law. It is important for students considering law to research the available options and pick the route into the profession that most suits them. We hope to see some of the students we met in the future when they have started their legal training.
We are already working with a number of schools, including Altrincham Girls Grammar School, Trafford College of Arts and Wellington. Schools that are interested in the career assistance we are providing should contact us at email@example.com.
