Eleanor Clarke, a specialists trusts and probate litigator, has made the move from Linder Myers to Myerson Solicitors and will join our Contentious Trusts and Probate team.

Eleanor is a recognised probate litigator having gained a prestigious accreditation membership of the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Solicitors (“ACTAPS”), following an intensive course in this niche area. She specialises in complex and high-value disputes, often with an international element.

Head of the Contentious Trusts and Probate team, partner Helen Thompson, commented “I am delighted that Eleanor is bringing her experience to our fast-growing team. We believe that we are now the largest and most qualified team that is solely dedicated to this niche area of work in the NorthWest. My team’s turnover has increased 64% this year and we have enjoyed a 20 % increase in instructions, many of those coming from other solicitors which is the ultimate endorsement of our capabilities.

We now have a team of 6 lawyers solely undertaking this specialist work. All of our solicitors have either achieved or are working towards achieving the ACTAPS accreditation. They are also supported by a sizeable and renowned non-contentious wills and probate team, all of whom have gained the respected Society for Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP) accreditation”.

Eleanor’s arrival will boost the size of the Dispute Resolution and Commercial Litigation department to 16 lawyers (including 6 probate litigators). Adam Maher, head of the department commented “increasingly we are being seen as a credible out-of-city alternative to the traditional commercial law firm, both by clients and our legal contemporaries. This is underscored by our recent award for Law firm of the Year (medium-sized) at the recent Manchester Legal Awards. We are very excited to welcome Eleanor whose experience will be an asset to our team”.
