We train managers, HR teams and in house lawyers in relation to specific human resources or employment law projects and for the purpose of knowledge management and up-skilling managers and human resources professionals.

As standard practice, we give our clients an estimate of the costs involved in undertaking any piece of work at the outset. We then provide cost updates on a regular basis. We are also happy to discuss fixed fees and retainer arrangements and agreements if that is helpful.

  • Training senior managers on how to run a fair mass redundancy exercise, including appropriate communication, selection, consideration of ring fencing, pools and alternative roles and the legal and practical risks to avoid
  • The impact of TUPE when outsourcing or insourcing, including consultation requirements, calculating potential liability, timescales and practical examples
  • The impact of legal developments on clients’ businesses, including in relation to the new shared parental leave regime, calculating holiday pay after recent legal developments (including the Bear Scotland case), changes to TUPE and the law on consultation (following the Woolworths and Ethel Austin Litigation), carrying out fair redundancies, how to avoid breaching changes to equality and discrimination laws
  • Training on how to run an appropriate election of representatives to consult about TUPE or redundancies and training the representatives to ensure the most effective consultation takes place
