Biography

Joanna is a Commercial Solicitor and advises on a myriad of matters involving IT, agency, competition law, intellectual property, data protection, franchising, supply of goods and services, and e-commerce.

Joanna works with clients ranging from local SMEs to FTSE listed companies operating across a broad spectrum of sectors, including manufacturing, hospitality and leisure, healthcare and retail.

As a member of the Society for Computers and Law, Joanna has a wealth of experience in drafting and negotiating IT and tech contracts, including SaaS, PaaS, App terms and conditions, end-user licence agreements and value-added reseller agreements. Joanna has advised in a variety of complex, high-value and multi-jurisdictional matters, including dealing with IT service offerings by regulated entities such as investment and banking platforms in the Fintech sector.

Upon completing her training contract with Myerson, Joanna joined the Corporate Commercial department in September 2018. Before this, Joanna graduated from the University of Manchester with a 2:1 in Law before going on to study the combined MSc in Law and Business and Legal Practice Course, achieving a Distinction. Joanna worked as an insurance subrogation paralegal at international firm DWF LLP earning invaluable civil litigation experience within a multi-jurisdictional practice area.
