Biography

Gabrielle studied Sociology at the University of Nottingham before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at the University of Law. Gabrielle qualified as a Family Solicitor in 2016 upon completion of her training contract and relocated to Manchester. She worked at the Co-Operative Group before joining a niche family practice in Manchester City Centre. Gabrielle then joined the Family Department at Myerson in June 2019.

 

Gabrielle’s primary objective is to provide a high standard of client care and legal advice, along with a holistic view of what practical steps to take during what is often a challenging time. Her unique blend of experience in niche, high street and commercial firms has provided her with an adaptability that always benefits her clients and she prides herself on easing her client’s through their matter, offering a reassuring and positive outlook in any given scenario.

Expertise and Past Cases

Examples of Gabrielle’s work

  • Successfully representing a wife who issued divorce proceedings and sought protection from an abusive partner by issuing Part IV Family Law Act proceedings
  • Successfully obtaining an order permitting relocation for a mother with two young children. The father did not agree to the move, however the mother was granted permission by the Courts following an application for an application under the Children Act.
  • Successfully issued divorce proceedings against a husband who refused to return the Acknowledgment of Service during divorce proceedings but who confirmed receipt by email
  • Successfully obtaining parental responsibility and regular weekly contact for a father who had been prevented from contacting his children
