Emma is a solicitor in the Commercial Litigation department, specialising in Property Disputes.

Emma regularly advises in connection with commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes, lease renewals, forfeiture, dilapidations, residential possession, and insolvency property issues.

Emma also assists with commercial disputes including contractual claims, professional negligence and debt recovery matters.

Emma graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with an LLB First Class Honours and went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, Manchester.

Emma joined Myerson as a trainee solicitor in 2015 and in September 2017 qualified as a solicitor in the Commercial Litigation Department.

Expertise and Past Cases

Emma specialises in a wide range of property disputes including:

  • advising clients on obtaining possession of residential properties;
  • advising clients on business lease renewals which includes serving notices pursuant to section 25, 26 or 27 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, advising on the validity of notices served and commencing any necessary proceedings;
  • acting on behalf of both landlord and tenant in relation to forfeiture of commercial leases;
  • serving break notices and advising on the validity of such notices; and
  • advising in relation to rights of way and other easements.
