We are serious about our commitment to benefit the community in which we operate. Here’s how we do this.
Myerson are proud to be working with Manchester based charity, Forever Manchester. Forever Manchester is a charity that supports community projects and activities across the Greater Manchester area. We became a partner of Forever Manchester in 2016 and we are keen to support the work they do in our local community.
We are now helping them to bring their events to Altrincham by sponsoring the Forever Friday event. This is an Altrincham based networking event which brings local business people together in a relaxed setting after work on a Friday. It allows local businesses to raise their profile and make new contacts, while also raising awareness of the good work that Forever Manchester carried out.
If you want to learn more about Forever Manchester please see their website.
If you would like to attend the next Forever Friday event please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and you will be added to our mailing list and we will send you an invite.
Barnabus Christmas Appeal
Following last year’s success, Myerson chose to support the Barnabus Christmas Appeal again this year.
Barnabus are a homeless charity based in Manchester which started 25 years ago with just one man walking the streets, giving out food and drink to the homeless. They now offer a lifeline to 600, visiting homeless and vulnerable people each week, many of whom have severe addictions or mental health issues. They support their physical, emotional and spiritual needs and do all they can to help them get back into mainstream society. They have received the ‘unsung heroes’ Queens award for Voluntary Service, but they do not receive any government funding – they rely entirely on donations.
Barnabus runs various appeals and fundraising events throughout the year, and during the Christmas period, they ask for donations of certain essential items to help those less fortunate throughout the festive period and winter months.
During November, staff members at Myerson donated various winter items, including hats, scarves, gloves, coats, shoes and blankets. Donations also included festive treats such as mince pies, biscuits and chocolates.

The van full of donations was then dropped off at the Barnabus Support Office on Bloom Street in Manchester City Centre.
Staff members were really pleased to have been able to support the Barnabus Christmas Appeal again this year and hope to make it an annual event.
